Here are some of the reasons why
Exhibition Place
was selected as one of
Canada's Greenest Employers (2020):
Exhibition Place was first certified by the Recycling Council of Ontario back in 2015, collecting 29 different waste streams across its many properties and events -- and all facility coordinators take the Recycling Council of Ontario's waste auditor course to ensure proper ongoing waste diversion
Exhibition Place operates four separate rooftop solar arrays that produce over 730,000 kWh of electricity annually, which is enough energy to power 68 households for over one year -- it also encourages all of its clients (show managers who rent space) to offset their events' carbon emissions, and for those hosting events in the Beanfield Centre building, green power is supplied as part of their rent
