Here are some of the reasons why Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. was selected as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers (2025):
- Hyundai Auto Canada created a DEI dashboard, reviewed quarterly by the diversity advisory group, to identify gaps, areas of opportunities, and successes -- the organization also monitors its recruitment practices through weekly reviews to ensure all DEI metrics are met (if the metrics are not met, the findings will be reviewed by the president and CEO)
- Hyundai Auto Canada's diversity strategy is managed by a diversity advisory group led by the president and CEO -- the organization also established a goal to raise the representation of women to 40 per cent (currently 37 per cent) and the representation of Black employees to seven per cent (achieved by the end of 2023)
- Hyundai Auto Canada took measures to enhance inclusion in its health benefits offerings by introducing a surrogacy benefit and fertility treatments (both to a lifetime maximum of $15,000), as well as gender affirmation coverage for transitioning employees (up to $10,000 per year, with a lifetime maximum of $50,000)
