- Farm Mutual's head office features numerous green features inside and out, including rainwater collection, green roofs, drought-resistant plantings (with weeding done by hand), a ground source heat pump for heating and cooling, photocell computer-controlled sunshades, sensor-controlled lighting, and low-flow and motion sensor water fixtures
- Farm Mutual moved to reusable plates and cutlery for company lunches and events and encourages employees to adopt green habits every day with recycling bins located at employee desks, along with onsite collection of organics, e-waste, batteries and eyeglasses
- Farm Mutual recently installed three honeybee apiaries that are managed by a professional beekeeper -- and has an onsite community garden, where the annual harvest is conducted by employees and donated to a local food bank
