- Emterra Group works alongside 70 other Canada Plastics Pact partner organizations in developing a formal program to help Canadian companies divert millions of tonnes of plastic waste (estimated to be 3 million tonnes in Canada) from landfills and the environment, and back into the Canadian economy -- the program is focused on "meaningful action to transition towards a circular economy through individual action and collaboration"
- Emterra Group partners with local organizations to heighten awareness and increase access to resources for waste reduction -- such as the "Make Your Contribution at the Curb" initiative that features a $1 donation to a local organization for each tonne of material recycled by businesses and residences
- Emterra Group has made significant infrastructure investments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its fleet operations with compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks and three CNG refuelling stations that have been made available to the public and other companies
