Other info for new grads Department of Justice Canada offers a Legal Excellence program for articling students, which provides advocacy skills, an overview of the Department's array of legal work, and introduces issues facing Crown counsel. Recent graduates can also take part in the LP-01 Training and Development program, a competency-based program that aims to develop, train and manage junior lawyers and legal counsel. The program progresses to the LP-02 level and includes continuous feedback and formal evaluation of achievements, competencies and performance.
