- Corus' DEI council is comprised of employees with different lived experiences across the country and from various parts of the business, including ERG co-chairs -- the council provides business-driven insights and advice on the organization's DEI work and champions inclusive behaviour and leadership
- Corus recently launched a work stream focused on diversity and authentic representation in content -- a dedicated DEI team member conducted a current state analysis, in-depth sessions with nine business areas to determine objectives in front of and behind the camera (and identified initiatives to support the objectives) and is working on creating dashboards for each business area with a baseline of measures
- Corus created Corus.Futures to support students from underrepresented communities as industry creators and leaders -- two scholarships were launched in radio and broadcast television, which includes a financial contribution, a paid internship and a career mentorship and there are plans to expand the number and variety of scholarships in the coming years
