Recognized as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People (2025):
By Kristina Leung, Chantel Watkins, and Cypress Weston, Mediacorp Canada Inc. staff editors (Jan 20, 2025)
Here are some of the reasons why Dayforce, Inc. was selected as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People (2025):
- Dayforce offers a unique Work-Integrated Learning Digital Technologies program in partnership with York University's Lassonde School of Engineering, allowing students to gain practical work experience while completing their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in computer science, cybersecurity or data science -- the program enables students to work full-time on Dayforce's cybersecurity team for 12 months, while spending 20 per cent of their time on theoretical and in-class learning
- Dayforce also supports early-career employees interested in pursuing a leadership role through the Emerging Leaders Program, designed to focus on core skills for strategic thinking, building effective teams, and leading successfully -- participants in this six-month program participate in face-to-face workshops on topics such as business acumen, communication, engagement through the employee lifecycle, developing a global mindset, coaching and feedback
- Dayforce provides interns with guidance and support for professional advancement through career development workshops hosted by the organization's talent acquisition team, with past topics including interviewing techniques, networking proficiency, resume refinement, and creating a compelling personal brand -- each intern also undergoes a structured 'lookback review' process at the end of their term, encouraging them to reflect on their experience and receive feedback from their managers to facilitate future career growth and success
