  • Each year, Capital Power partners with two local Alberta high schools to offer students the opportunity to participate in the organization's Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) for welding, millwright, electrician or machinist skills -- the apprenticeship concludes when the RAP apprentice finishes high school and is automatically registered as a regular apprentice
  • Within the Energy Management Operations Centre (EMOC), where many young professionals start their careers at Capital Power, interested employees can participate in the enrichment program, allowing them to work within another team for up to eight months
  • Capital Power manages a summer work experience program open to employees' family members and friends pursuing post-secondary studies -- the program matches students with a position that provides practical experience in their chosen field of study, ranging from short-term projects, job shadowing, community involvement or event planning
