Recognized as one of BC's Top Employers (2025):
By Richard Yerema and Kristina Leung, Mediacorp Canada Inc. staff editors (Feb 11, 2025)
Here are some of the reasons why BC Housing Management Commission was selected as one of BC's Top Employers (2025):
- BC Housing helps employees balance their working and personal lives with a variety of alternative working arrangements, including flexible hours, hybrid working arrangements, shortened and compressed work weeks, and an earned days off program that lets employees earn up to two days off every month
- BC Housing expanded its rewards program to create incentives for healthy behaviour -- employees can earn redeemable points for taking part in mental health activities such as meditating, spending time in nature, or attending a mental health workshop (points can be redeemed for gift cards, paid days off, or even a donation to the charity of their choosing)
- BC Housing also encourages employees to keep fit with free memberships to the recently renovated on-site fitness facility offering a range of workout equipment along with instructor-led fitness classes, including yoga, pilates and bootcamp

By Richard Yerema and Chantel Watkins, and Sonja Verpoort, Mediacorp Canada Inc. staff editors (Apr 21, 2025)
Here are some of the reasons why BC Housing Management Commission was selected as one of Canada's Greenest Employers (2025):
- Established in 1977, BC Housing's long-standing People, Plants and Homes program employs a full-time horticultural therapist and provides diverse therapeutic horticulture programming year-round to tenants at properties across the province, from windowsill gardens to planting and harvesting community gardens
- BC Housing hosts a number of environmental awareness events for its tenants across the province, including Earth Day celebrations, recycling drives, beehive workshops, a spring lavender festival and a number of fall harvest festivals
- BC Housing also maintains the Livegreen Employee Council, comprised of volunteers from across the province who share sustainability ideas, knowledge and opportunities with the rest of the organization -- the formal Livegreen sustainability plan guides the council's work and objectives
